Arrived Monday Afternoon in St. Louis, Denyse's sister Barb and Mom after all night drive from Colorado. On Tuesday, Carl arrived via train...and set about finishing his last paper to be sure he graduates. Wed and Thur Bill to Macomb to see friends Joe and Barb, Mark and several others. Rain both ways. Took considerable amount of stuff to Salvation Army (mostly from my Mother's estate 10 years ago) and a half car load of stuff to go back to Colorado. Arrived back in St. Louis Christmas Eve for nice dinner with Barb's family and Denyse and Carl. Friday AM Carl to airport for trip back to Boston....at 1PM Denyse and I leave St. Louis for trip to LaGuardia and see Katrina for a couple hours.....then all night flight. Haven't seem the sun since Colorado.

OK, so on Sunday 12/20/09 Monarch Ski area was beautiful! 28 degrees...sunny...packed powder...but an hour into it Denyse sprained her ankle just a little. Thirty minutes later she sparined her ankle a lot and was walking down the slope with snowboard as a crutch. Thus ended a great day of skiing...we returned to Alamosa...stocked up on drugs and crutches and started for St. Louis. Drove all night with a couple of nap stops and arrived in St. Louis about 1PM Monday. So we are back on schedule for Argentina and Chile! Hopefully the need for crutch will be gone by departure from St. Louis on Friday, Noon. Haven't seen the sun since leaving Colorado. And since when is 25 degrees cold? Sure seems like it here.

After attending the Adams State Fall Graduation ceremony on Sat, 12/18 rest of day spent feeding fire, napping and getting ready for skiing at Monarch Sunday....Monday driving to St. Louis.
